IN LOVING MEMORY OF SHARON LUCILLE MARIA TRAYNUM

On June 11th the Lord called upon Sharon Lucille Maria Traynum to walk with him into heaven. Sharon was born into this world on January 8th, 1968 to Shirley Mae Traynum in Anderson, South Carolina. When Sharon was a baby Shirley moved Sharon to Brooklyn, NY.  Sharon until the age 3 was able to walk, and communicate like other toddlers until she acquired her condition of meningitis. Her condition worsened when she was unable to communicate with family, Sharon was not given up on, Sharon joined the Willow Brook School in Staten Island, NY where she was taken in by staff to care for her and give her the same respect as others. Sharon lived there for 20 years, then she moved to Sharkey Residence in Maspeth, NY where she resided since 1996 where Judy, Natasha, Nichola, Marve, Jackie, Audria, Charmaine and others took care of her until the day she left us.

Sharon enjoyed music and she grabbed our hearts through her big smile. Sharon was loved greatly and even though her condition she knew how to touch our hearts. Sharon is revived by  her grandmother (Mary Traynum), her Great-Aunt ( Rebecca Ray), Her Aunt (Evette Payne)(Shannon),Her Father (James Wilkerson), and her grandfather (David Aiken) and she leaves behind her mother Shirley Wilkerson (Wilson, NC), brothers; Darius El-bey (New Jersey) , Hassan Cross (Wilson, NC),Sister Dominique Wilkerson (Wilson, NC),Nieces: Aiyanna, Jya , Jasmine, Leah, Kori, Callie, Nephew: Nazir, Javion, Joshua, Rhyan, and those who took care of Sharon that became family.
