BRYBAG, Rudolf H. on September 28, 2016. Rudy was born on January 19, 1928 in Paramaribo, Suriname, the fourth of eight children of Albertus and Leopoldina Brijbag and was a resident of Brooklyn, NY since 1962. He was the devoted husband of Leonie (nee Nunes d'Agrella) who predeceased him in 2010. Loving father of Roy, Dennis, Errol (wife Jane), Jacintha Cunningham, Hesdy, Marjorie Fenton (husband John) and Cheryl Hathaway (husband John). The proud grandfather of Claudia, Katharina, Denise, Michael, Magen, Carolyn, Laurie, Janette, Danielle, Brian, Daniel, Victoria, Matthew, Skyler, Brenten, Sarah, and Molleen, he is also a dear Opa to Justin, Joe-Bear, Angelina, Griffin, Aidan, Kaili, Alexis, Ryan, and Ava. Rudy worked for Local 32BJ for many years until he retired in 1993. He loved his family and cherished the time they spent together. He especially enjoyed when everyone gathered at his country house in upstate NY and the outings he made to Monticello. Rudy was a gentle man who will be greatly missed by all who knew him but his family is comforted in knowing that his legacy of kindness, integrity and love for humanity will continue to influence their lives.
