Rosemary Soldiviero passed away on July 3 rd , at the age of 70.

Rosemary was born on Staten Island and grew up in Rosebank with her parents, Rose and Gus, and their close extended family. She met her husband, Jack, after being set up on a blind date by mutual friends. They married in 1982 and moved to Carroll Gardens and then Park Slope in Brooklyn. After the birth of their son, Nicholas, they settled in Bay Ridge and lived on 81 st Street since 1990.

Rosemary became a registered nurse after graduating from Beth Israel School of Nursing in 1972. She practiced bedside nursing at Doctor's Hospital of Staten Island and rose to the position of Head Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit. Rosemary loved providing direct care to patients. She received her Bachelor of Nursing from The University of the State of New York in 1983, and transitioned to infection control – first working at Elmhurst Hospital, then Beth Israel Medical Center, Long Island College Hospital and Maimonides Medical Center.

Rosemary always put family first, caring intensely for her husband and son and her late parents. In the family tradition of her parents and grandparents, Rosemary was a lifelong New York Yankees fan. She also loved dogs including her childhood Dachshund, Simon, her late Yorkshire Terrier, Max and her Terrier-mix, Hope. She was a member of Saint Anselm Parish.

Rosemary will be deeply missed.
