Robert Dwight Forster has ascended to Heaven on April 3, 2024, at the age of 78 years old.

Robert was born in Rockville Centre to Walter and Drusilla (Bell) Forster on January 4, 1946, and soon after, settled with his family in Centerport, Long Island. Robert was the third youngest brother to Walter, Thomas, and George Forster. Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Bernadette (Guardabasso) Forster and his only son, Drew Forster.

A lover of family, friends, the beach, fishing, hunting, cooking, traveling, and good times, Robert is remembered as the quintessential life of the party. You may know him by his infamous nickname, Bugle, or Buges for short. A beloved father and husband, best friend, and Uncle to many, Robert especially adored his family and network of friends, and the great times they shared.

Robert was diagnosed with an aggressive form of throat cancer in 2003. His will to live and bravery could not be matched, keeping his friends, family, wife, and son close to heart, which allowed him to continue to fight until the very end. Many refer to him as a warrior, which is exactly what he was. Quitting was never an option.

Please remember Robert in your hearts as the jovial, loving, caring, and thoughtful person he was, and celebrate his life on April 13th.
