Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, Richard Wotczak passed away on January 19th, 2021 at the age of 87 years old.

Born in Duluth, Minnesota on June 25th, 1933 to Theodore and Beatrice Wotczak, he was the oldest of six siblings, Eileen, Kenneth, William, Mary and Jeannie. Richard cherished his childhood, which was filled with loving memories with his family. He was a notable athlete, playing football and basketball in high school.

As a young man, he was drafted to the US Army, stationed at Fort Hamilton Army Base in Brooklyn, NY. There he met the love of his life, Carmel 'Mickey' Micara who was working as a civilian employee. Three short months after meeting, they were married in 1958.

Richard went on to have four children, who he dedicated his life to. He strived to instill in his children the love and kindness which was instilled in him.

Richard later became a grandfather to fourteen grandchildren. His grandchildren brought him tremendous joy. He would always attend the sporting events, dance recitals, concerts, etc. of all his grandchildren – he was their number one fan.

Richard was an avid sports fan, especially the NY Yankees and NY Giants. He was great at statistics. He loved his wife's Italian cooking, seeking out sales at grocery stores, and watching Jeopardy. Most of all, he cherished the time he spent with his family.

Richard will be remembered as a one-of-a-kind man. One who carried himself with humbleness, kindness, and lead with his heart. Richard's legacy will live on. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Richard is survived by his 4 children Richard Jr., Linda, Robert and Maria, 3 in-laws Steve, Timmy and Maureen, 14 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and countless nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.
