Obituary

Richard G. Attara passed away on August 19, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Alice Casanova-Attara and the devoted father of Daniel, Nicole (Clarissa), Andrew, and John. He was a proud grandfather to Leo James.

Richard was the dear brother of Selma Candido (Sal), Michele Cristiano (Bob), Patricia Marchetti (Steve), Theresa, Ralph (the late Catherine), and was predeceased by his brother Alfred. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, and friends.

Richard dedicated his professional life to the family business, Clinton House Furniture on Atlantic Avenue. Known affectionately as "Mr. Fix It", he had a unique gift for repairing, building, and improving anything placed in his hands. To Richard and to his family, Clinton House was more than a business — it was a tradition, a source of pride, and a reflection of the values of hard work, integrity, and service that defined his life.

In his later years, Richard faced the challenges of Parkinson's disease with courage and quiet strength. Even as his health declined, he continued to take joy in the things he loved most — time with family, his work with his hands, and the bonds of friendship and community that sustained him.

He will be remembered for his devotion to family, his tireless work ethic, and the lasting example of resilience and generosity he leaves behind.
