Raymond W. Coleman passed away peacefully at home on October 25, 2020 at the age of 87.

Ray was born on October 11, 1933 to William and Mary (Fehr).  Ray is survived by his wife of 62 years, Anna M. (Woollam), his two children, Diane (John) and Jonathan "Jay", three grandchildren Michael, Katie, and Genevieve, and two great grandchildren Vieve and Gio.

Ray enjoyed life to the fullest, especially New York City's museums, theaters, and vibrance. He also loved to read and travel throughout our country and Europe.

Ray proudly served his country as an Officer in the United States Navy during the Cold War. He patrolled the waters between Newport, Rhode Island, Newfoundland and as far as Argentina on the USS Calcaterra DER 390. He later taught at Officer's Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island.

A full career with Wadsworth Publishing Company saw many happy and fulfilling days. He made many lifelong friends whom he cherished.

Above all, Ray loved and enjoyed his family, and the Bay Ridge community where he was born and lived for all but 2 years of his life.
