IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patrick Joseph
Lennon
September 24, 1996 – September 6, 2025
Patrick Joseph Lennon, 28, of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, passed away unexpectedly on September 6, 2025. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering faith that touched the lives of all who knew him.
Patrick is survived by his devoted parents, Michael and Marie Lennon, his siblings Lindsey, Elisa, and Michael, his two cherished grandmothers, and a wide circle of aunts, uncles, and cousins who will deeply miss him.
Patrick's infectious smile, caring nature, and fierce loyalty led him to touch the lives of everyone he met– from lifelong friends to strangers. His kind heart was second to none and felt by all who were lucky enough to meet him. With a spirit free of judgment, he always met people where they were, offering acceptance and kindness without reservation. His happiest moments were spent at his beloved creek in the Catskill Mountains, where he found solace and joy in nature's embrace, a reflection of his deep connection to the simple beauties of life.
As the eldest of his siblings and cousins, Patrick developed a natural gift for nurturing and uplifting those around him. This passion guided him to a career in teaching, where his great character and love instantly resonated with his students. With patience, care, and dedication, he shaped countless young lives, leaving a lasting impact through the kindness that defined him.
Patrick's final evening was spent doing what he loved most: listening to Irish music under the open sky surrounded by his family, the love of his life, Cate, and his loyal dog, Tully. His parting words, a reflection of his heart, were always, "Love you, take care of my dog!"
In the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi, whom Patrick admired, his life embodied the beauty of simple joys and the holiness of doing things well. As St. Francis said, "Ask the beasts and they will teach you the beauty of this earth," and "Do few things but do them well, simple joys are
holy." Patrick lived these truths every day.
Patrick's memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched with his kindness, faith, and love.
As a tribute to Patrick's devotion to the care and well-being of animals, we respectfully suggest that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to
North Shore Animal League
