IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia M.
Watt
October 4, 1931 – November 25, 2023
Patricia M. Watt (nee Kelly) was called back home peacefully on Saturday, November 25, 2023 with her daughter Kathleen MacLellan and granddaughter Kelly MacLellan by her side – after a lovely Thanksgiving and speaking with those she loves most. Patricia was predeceased by her parents William & Alice Kelly, Husband of 50 years George J. Watt, Son George M. Watt and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Patricia is survived by her daughter Kathleen MacLellan, son in law Thomas MacLellan and daughter in law Laura Watt, along with her grandchildren Kelly, Caitlin, Kristin (Kenny), Meghan, George A. and great-grandchildren Diana, Hunter and Shay.
Patricia was born in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn and was the only child of William and Alice Kelly. Many Aunts and other relatives assisted in raising young Patricia, where years later in turn Patricia would then take care of her beloved father, Aunt Kitty, & many other family members as she was always in a care-taker role.
Eventually, she married George J. Watt, they purchased a home in Dyker Heights, joined the St. Ephrem Parish & started a family of their own. They both assisted and volunteered at school & church functions – their children and grandchildren attended St. Ephrem's. As devout Catholics, passing on Catholic education and our Catholic faith was most important. Patricia was a Parishioner of St. Ephrem's for over 60 years. She was part of their Friendship club and other area senior clubs in the area and Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, Division 22.
Family was everything to Patricia, she loved spending time with her 2 children, 5 grandchildren and especially her 3 great-grandchildren – they were the light of her life, even toward the end she would light up when seeing them or hearing them on the phone. She especially loved spending days on the beach of Breezy Point or Sanibel, FL & looked forward to the days sunset.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made in her name to either:
FDNY Burn Center Foundation
or
Visiting Nurse Service – Hospice & Palliative Care.
