Obituary

Nina Ingargiola, aged ninety two, was born in Brooklyn, NY in December, 1931 and passed away in January, 2024.  Her parents were Peter and Nancy Ingargiola.  She had a brother, Peter.  A friend that taught with her, Francine Luft, came to be like a sister to her.

Nina was a life-long resident of Brooklyn, New York.  She attended Hunter College and held a doctorate degree in English.  She was a teacher in the New York City school system for over thirty years.

As a girl, Nina waited to get autographs from Broadway stars and developed a lifetime love of music, including opera and the symphony.  She also enjoyed ballet performances.  Nina loved travel and visited many far-flung places including China, Egypt and Tahiti.  She also enjoyed trips to the beach.  Nina read extensively, especially classic literature and Greek mythology.

She was a wonderful sister to our father and was always especially good to her nephew Peter and her two nieces, Brandy and Nancy that survive her.  Nina will be dearly missed by all those she knew and especially by those she gave her love and kindness to.
