Michael James Nelson passed away peacefully on December 27, 2023 after a brief but valiant battle with cancer.  Beloved husband of the late Marie Joy Nelson (nee Gironda).  Loving father of Paul Nelson (Cassie) and Christine Marie Cribb (Jackson).  Proud grandfather of Matthew and Steven.  Dear brother of Joyce Cassidy (John).  Cherished uncle of John Cassidy (Grace), Colleen Geary (Timothy), Brian Cassidy (Mariana), Christopher Cassidy, and Catherine Gerrety (Michael).  Adored brother-in-law of Felicia Gironda (Chana).  Loving partner to Maria Melendez.  Predeceased by his parents Josephine and James Nelson.
