With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Candela, who left us peacefully at home on May 15, 2025, at the age of 63. Born in Brooklyn on September 13, 1961, Michael lived a life full of love, strength, and unwavering devotion to his family.

Michael was a man of strength and deep loyalty. He shared 42 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Donna, and together they built a family that was the center of his world. He was a proud and loving father to his sons Michael and John, and his daughter Nicole, and welcomed with open arms his son-in-law Kristopher, and his daughters-in-law Jordanne and Michelle.

His greatest joy came from his role as "Grandpa" to his cherished grandchildren: Dante, Isabella, Giavanna, and Shea. His eyes would light up in their presence, and the bond they shared will remain a lasting legacy of his love.

Michael had a deep passion for fitness and could often be found at the gym, where he found strength, clarity, and purpose. His dedication to health was a reflection of the way he approached life—with discipline, resilience, and heart.

To know Michael was to know someone who lived with integrity, who loved deeply, and who led by example. He leaves behind a family that adores him and countless memories that will be treasured forever.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Michael's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
