Maureen Ingram, nee Cooke, peacefully entered Eternal Life on November 23, 2022 at sea onboard the M.V. QUEEN MARY 2.

Maureen was born in Park Slope Brooklyn, the daughter of Senator Walter and Lillian Cooke. She is survived by her sisters Joanne Stephens (John) and Deborah O'Kane (Michael). Maureen was the devoted wife of Judge John Ingram. Their love story began in Breezy Point in 1956. Maureen and John married in August 1966. Maureen is survived by her four wonderful children: Mary Allison Muccigrosso (Mark), Sean (Rita), Brian (Jennifer) and Maureen Sheridan (Sean). Maureen was the loving grandmother to eight beautiful grandchildren: Ryan, Justin, Caroline, Matthew, Ava, Luke, Sean Andrew, and John. Maureen was a loving aunt to twenty-one nieces and nephews and many grand nieces and nephews who she loved and cared for deeply. Maureen was sister-in-law to David and Regina Ingram, Thomas and Karen Ingram, Marty and Nancy Ingram and Helena Lampropoulos.

A lifelong Brooklyn resident, and summer resident of Breezy Point, Maureen attended St. Joseph and St. Francis Xavier grammar schools, St. Saviour High School, and Marymount College Tarrytown. Maureen worked as a Legal Assistant to the US Ambassador to the United Nations and worked on the staff of NYS Senator Alton Waldron. After the children grew up Maureen became a substitute teacher with the NYC Department of Education. A devoted wife and mother, Maureen attended countless events for her family and was always available for anything that anyone might need. She spent countless hours at swimming meets, basketball, baseball, football, and soccer games. She thoroughly enjoyed twirling competitions and numerous recitals. She never missed anything. Maureen loved ice skating, kayaking, biking, and walking. She was an avid Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Mets fan. She was a devoted friend to all she met wherever she was in the world. Maureen was always her kind elegant self and comfortable with business associates, military cadres, judges, politicians, friends, and neighbors. Maureen was a rock that everyone could always count on for love and support.

Maureen traveled the world with John and visited over forty countries. She shared her love of travel with her children and grandchildren and always returned with special gifts and memorable stories for all.

Maureen will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

May Maureen Rest in Peace. We were so blessed to have her in our lives.
