Born Dec. 2nd 1920 in Rye New York to Gabriel and Sadie Stonbely. Raised in Stamford Connecticut, her family moved to Prospect Park in Brooklyn when she was a young adult. In the mid 1950s she moved with her husband and children to Bay Ridge. One of four children, she is survived by her younger brother Gabe. Beloved wife of James Monier who passed away in October 2015, loving mother of Martha Kegerise and Sadie Asfour. Cherished grandmother of five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A very talented dressmaker, she worked for the designer Oleg Cassini. She was employed in the garment industry for over thirty years. Mary loved music and sang with the Eddie Kochak band. She was an avid reader and a wonderful cook. She will be greatly missed and always in our hearts.
