Mary McNicholas passed away peacefully on October 19, 2021. Beloved daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (nee Cleary). Dear sister of Kathleen McNicholas, Patricia Gabriel (the late Ed), Elizabeth Peterson (Robert), Eileen McFadden (Joe), and the late Thomas McNicholas, Jr. Proud aunt of Brian Peterson (Ashley), Colleen Freeman (nee Peterson; Rich), Karen McFadden, Elizabeth Gabriel, Maureen McFadden (Bhelly Bagbonon), Victoria Gabriel, and great-aunt of Shawn Freeman, Kerrigan Peterson, Aiden Freeman, and Quinn Peterson.

Her love of Saturday morning cartoons and card games with the family was outshined only by her love for her family. She leaves behind a legacy of unwavering support and love for her (great) nieces and nephews: pushing them to strive for academic excellence, being open to trying new things, understanding their own individuality, and unapologetically discovering their passions and not only embracing them but growing into them. Whether it was decorating Easter eggs to reflect the year each of her nieces and nephews had or making a cheesecake with Splenda, persistently failing at Buck Buck or being moved still asleep in her bed out into the hallway, or taking the nieces and nephews out for an "Aunt Mary day" to celebrate good grades, it was all done with love. This is why we grieve the loss of a wonderful woman who was taken from her family far too soon.
