Mary Lee (Miss Mary) McGeeney passed away peacefully after a long illness, on September 30, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.  A memorial will be @ Clavin Funeral Home October 6, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. with funeral mass at Our Lady of Angels Church at 10:30 AM.  Mary Lee was born on November 13, 1933 and almost made it to her 90th birthday. She is survived by her two sons, James (Paula) and Thomas Patrick (Amy), daughter MaryPat, and her two grandchildren, Anna Joy and Anh Nguyen.  She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence, and daughter, Kathleen.

Mary Lee was a long-time resident of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn and was known for her kindness and caring for all her neighbors and friends.  She worked as a pre-K school teacher for many years, both in public and private schools, while raising four children and caring for her husband, Larry.  She was an active parishioner at Our Lady of Angels Church (OLA) and enjoyed the company of the parish priests and deacons.  Mary Lee was also a eucharistic minister at OLA. She was an ace at most card and board games and was also one of the best bocci players at The Breezy Point Surf Club.

Mary Lee truly lived a full and happy life and was adored by all who knew her.  She will be sorely missed by her family and her multitude of friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society .
