Mary E. Maffa (Marybeth) passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by family and friends on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at the age of 64.  Marybeth bravely battled cancer for the past 2 years and now rests peacefully and forever in our hearts.

Born and raised in Dyker Heights, Brooklyn, she was a proud graduate of Saint Ephrem's, Bishop Kearney High School and Pace University.  Her successful career as a financial administrator spanne d over thirty years at Poly Prep Country Day School, where she was honored for her excellence and attention to detail.  Marybeth loved to travel, gather and entertain with family, friends, and neighbors which has led to many happy and treasured memories by all.

Marybeth is the beloved daughter of the late Nicholas and Lorraine McGivney.  Marybeth is survived by her beloved husband Sal of 37 years, and her cherished daughters Kerry and Marissa (Andrew Ehrenfeld).  Marybeth is the sister of Kathleen Gordon (David), Thomas McGivney (Patricia), Michael McGivney (Hilda), the late Joseph McGivney (survived by Linda), and the late Kevin McGivney.  She is the sister-in-law of Frank Maffa (late Kathleen).  She is the loving aunt to ten nieces and nephews.

We will miss you and love you always. Rest in Peace.
