Visiting: Friday (12/12) 2-4 & 7-9 PM Mass: Saturday (12/13) 10:30 AM @ Our Lady of Angels Church Cemetery: Greenwood (Brooklyn, NY) - - - - COMPLIMENTARY VALET PARKING AVAILABLE - - - - Mary Josephine Collins (nee Cotter) , 89, of County Kerry, Ireland; Bay Ridge, Brooklyn; Breezy Point; and Fort Pierce, Florida, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on December 5, 2014. She was the beloved mother of Michael, Kevin, Maureen, and Eileen, and the cherished grandmother of seven grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Daniel Collins, and an infant daughter, Erin Marie. She was born in Knockbrack, County Kerry, Ireland and was proud of her Irish heritage. After coming to the United States, she married and raised her family. She then became a successful real estate broker and was the owner of Collins Real Estate in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, for many years. Mary was a devout Catholic and was a parishioner at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and later at Our Lady of Angels Church. After she retired from real estate, Mary volunteered at OLA's Human Services ministry. She loved to be needed and it gave her great joy to be able to help others. Mary was a wonderful, caring person who was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
