Lydia Garcia, born 12/20/1944 has gone to be with God on 10/8/2024.
She was born in Brooklyn and moved to Staten with her family a few years ago.
Lydia was the beloved wife to Louis Garcia, beloved mother to Louis Garcia Jr. (Kara), beloved sister to Fay Torres, and her most cherished title, beloved Nana to Louie and Nicky.
She is predeceased by her mother, Flora Torres.
Lydia enjoyed spending time with her grandsons and spoiling them as much as possible. The amount of special memories that were made is immeasurable.
In life, Lydia enjoyed vacationing with her family every year, trying different restaurants, playing Sudoku, doing puzzles, watching YouTube videos about her favorite place (Disney World), laughing and being silly with her grandsons. But she wasn't always all fun and games. She also taught her family a lot of valuable lessons that they are grateful for. Responsibility, pride, ownership, respect, love and the importance of putting each other first.
Her family was her top priority and her love will carry them throughout the rest of their lives.
