Lucille Grimaldi passed away peacefully in the early hours of December 24, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Born on December 18, 1945, in Brooklyn, New York to John and Lucy (Ferraioli) DiTirro, Lucille was one of three siblings including her sister Rosalie and brother John.  Lucille was proud of her Italian-American heritage and her hometown of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, where she raised her four children with her husband Carmine.

From her formative years at St. Anselm, to her high school years at OLPH, and onto St. John's University, Lucille always put great value on education.  She continued her post graduation studies at Fordham University to explore Theology, as well as attending the School of Interior Design.

Lucille's professional life was devoted to public service for the City of New York.  She worked for the Department of Environmental Protection and the Board of Elections, with a proud legacy of being a major contributor in modernizing the election process by converting traditional ballots to electronic.

She was a generous supporter of many local and national charities and volunteered as a Sunday School Teacher at St. Anselm for several years.

Lucille had many interests and hobbies including sewing, gardening, and traveling.  She loved the Arts and was a fan of the BBC, most notably Downton Abbey.  As an avid reader, Lucille loved participating in her book groups, discussing the many books that she read with her friends.

Lucille is preceded by her parents and her sister Rosalie.  She is survived by her brother John, her children, Margaret, Joseph (Michelle), Elena (Damian), and David (Kori), as well as her grandchildren, Emily, Damian, Olivia, Joshua, and Joseph.

Lucille will be remembered for her faith in God and her love and dedication to her family and friends.  She will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
