Leona Ann Morton was called to heaven on Saturday, March 9, 2019. Leona was born on July 25, 1939 in Brooklyn, New York and was a lifelong resident of Bay Ridge. Leona was a proud Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt and friend to many. She cherished spending summers in Breezy Point with her friends and family and was most proud of her Irish heritage. Leona worked hard for New York City's children with the Department of Education and later fighting for her colleagues with DC-37. Leona is finally at peace with her sister Pat and son Billy by her side.
