Larry was born to Shirley and William May; He has an older brother Martin and younger sister Carol. Larry grew up in Sheepshead Bay and attended Lincoln High School. As a kid, he loved playing sports, driving fast, writing poetry, fishing and going to the racetrack. He worked at J.P. Morgan for 21 years, there he met his beautiful wife Donna and they had two sons, Paul and Mark.

Larry lived life to the fullest and always played by his own rules. He will always be remembered as compassionate, loving and generous to a fault. Although not religious, he lived his life spiritually fulfilled and God made sure to keep a spot in heaven for him. On the way up he will be partying and listening to Bob Dylan. Larry wanted his life to be celebrated, not mourned. His family and friends will forever keep him in their hearts.
