Kevin left this earth to join his wife, Isa on 1 September 2017. After serving 6 years in the US Army, he fulfilled over 17 years of service as a NYC Correction Officer at various facilities to include, Rikers Island and the Construction Management Unit. Kevin continued to serve in law enforcement after retirement with the US Marshalls.

As a patriot, Kevin also served his community. He took on various position within the American Legion Post #157, as Color Guard Commander and Post Commander.

He also maintained memberships in the VFW, Vietnams Veterans of America and the Fraternal Order of Police, Rocco Laurie Memorial Lodge #22.

He made many friends and memories that he cherished throughout the many chapters in his life.

Throughout his career he was blessed to raise two wonderful children with Isa, daughter, Tasha (Mario) and son, Adam Frederick.

He is survived by his children, grandson, Luca, sisters Denise Evensen and Joanne Hoffman, brothers Robert Halvorsen, Mark, Brian and Matt Veit, and niece and nephew Kristy and Peter Evensen.
