Known as a man with a soothingly calm voice and quick wit, Kevin Moriarty was a boy from Brooklyn, born on March 25, 1947 to Maurice and Margaret (née O'Neill) Moriarty.  He was a master wordsmith and an exhilarating conversationalist.  His voice was peacefully silenced on June 9, 2021.

Kevin was a talented writer who had a knack for using his incredible people skills to enhance public relations literature.  He could turn a stale leaflet into a work of art with his eloquent flair for language.  He spent twenty-plus years working as a doorman for a high-end building on Sutton Place, where coworkers and tenants alike were spellbound by his ability to enthrall them with a story or an anecdote, or to recommend a good book tailored just to the listener's taste.

He was known to his friends and family for being as kind as he was intelligent. He could never say no to a friend in need.  He loved to enjoy a tall glass of Coca-Cola and watch NCAA Basketball.  He watched Jeopardy nightly and almost flawlessly answered the clues as if his life savings were on the line.

Kevin was a loving and beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend.  He is survived by his daughters Erin and Mary and his sons Conor and Brandon; his grandchildren Fiona, Patrick, Conor (CJ), Barbara, Tristan, Lucy, and Manuela; his sister Maria and brother-in-law John, and his best friend Jeremiah (Jerry).  He will be sorely missed and fondly remembered.
