RYAN, Karen F. (nee Freeman), died July 22, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was born in Brooklyn on March 3, 1953, to the late Edward and Florence Freeman. Mrs. Ryan was also pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Gerald and is survived by her loving son, Gerald.

She had five beloved siblings: sisters Deborah Freeman Kelly  (and late husband Robert) and Elaine Freeman, and her late brothers Edward, Bruce, and Brian Freeman. In addition to Deborah and Elaine, she is also survived by many adored nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Karen was known for her contagious smile and warm heart. She was a member of The American Legion and a volunteer at the V.A. Hospital, where she later worked for many years.  She was a die-hard Yankees fan. She will be sadly missed by her family and all she touched.
