Lombardo Lombardo, Joseph L. (Joe), 74, of Brooklyn, NY on August 1, 2013. Loving and faithful husband of 46 years to Linda. Devoted father to Daniella (James) and Christina (David). Cherished and adored by his 3 grandchildren Harry, Stella and Delilah. After 52 years of uninterrupted employment in both the casualty underwriting and brokerage ranks of the insurance industry, Joe retired from his full time responsibilities as Chief Market Relations Officer at Aon Risk Solutions in 2008. Joe remained active with Aon in the role of Senior Advisor and Consultant until the time of his death. Joe served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Spencer Educational Foundation as well as being active in the Columbus Citizens Foundation, St. Vincent's Services, Metropolitan Opera Association, The Humane Society, and The Smithsonian Foundation. Joe was an integral part of the UJA-Federation's General Insurance Division for over a decade, and led outreach efforts for increased exposure and helped to establish broad and loyal support across the insurance industry. In June, Joe was given a Lifetime Achievement Award for his years of service to the UJA.
