Joseph (Joe) Guarinello, 68, of Brooklyn NY passed away on March 20, 2023.

Joe was born on April 3, 1954, the youngest of four children of Remigia and William Guarinello. After Joe graduated from Xaverian High School in 1972 he went on to study accounting at Baruch College. He worked briefly for the Board of Ed and Catholic Charities before starting at Heartshare in 1991, where he remained the rest of his career. He had just retired as of January 1,2023.

In the summer of '69 Joe met and went steady with his high school sweetheart and forever love, Sue. They married in June of 1975 and honeymooned in Europe. Joe and Sue went on to have three children - Janine, Joseph and Jason and five grandchildren Julia, Fiona, Courtney, Elle and James and a fur grandson Rocky.

He enjoyed fishing, duck hunting, throwing cigar parties, going to Atlantic City, playing cards, but most of all he loved having a great meal with family and friends. He could always be seen with a smile and often made friends wherever he went. Joe loved to make people laugh and was always ready with a story to be told. Joe enjoyed driving and went on many vacations in driving distance - Sue's place, Sunny Hill Farm, Poconos, Letchworth, Outerbanks, Woodloch, to name a small few.

Joe is survived by his wife, Sue; their children Janine Halldorson, Joseph Guarinello and Jason Guarinello; their son in law Dave Halldorson and daughter in law Katie Guarinello; their grandchildren Julia, Fiona, Courtney, Elle and James; his siblings William Guarinello, Patricia Monachino, and Phyllis Schanne; his sister in law Donna Guarinello; his brother in law Ben Monachino; his father in law Dominick Rizzo as well as beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
