John Maniaci, 63, of Brooklyn, NY, who will always be remembered for his heart of gold and sense of humor, died on April 23, 2021 from covid complications.  He was born to the late Guiseppe Maniaci and Anna Maniaci (Randazzo) in NYC on January 20,1958.

John was a truck driver for 35 years.  In between destinations along his routes, he would visit different food stops, grab a quick bite and conversation, and continue along; all the guys knew and loved him.

John enjoyed all sports; his favorites being baseball, football, hockey, and college sports.  When John was younger, he was a great pitcher and played baseball for many years.  He liked the LA Angels, Boston Bruins, Dallas Cowboys, and the horses.  Always being funny, he would sign the kids' birthday cards, as "Mr. Gamble."

John was a big guy and could've passed for a WWE wrestler sometimes, which he loved to watch. He also tuned in to the Honeymooners and the Odd Couple over and over, and still laughed every time. John was truly a good-hearted person.  He  was well-liked and fun to be around. Even all the family pets would cozy up to him. John didn't have much, but he'd give you anything he could, and had a heart of gold.  He will be greatly missed forever by his family and friends.

John is survived by his brother Matthew and wife Ann Marie; brother Rocco and wife Elaine; sister Ann and husband Wayne.  He is also survived by his partner Lucille and step-daughter Agnes; his godson Michael, nephew Peter, nieces Kristen, Madison, and JoAnna, and six great nieces and nephews, including Mason, who was born on John's birthday.
