John Aviles went to heaven on 6/3/26. Born to Gwen and John Aviles on 3/6/98 to be the brightest light to the many good-hearted people he came into contact with. Baptized at Our Lady Angels, he later altar served giving him the best life lessons: learning true empathy and having deep faith in God. John leaves behind his sisters: Grace, Margaret and Gwen, brother: Benjamin, brother-in-law: Alex, Natasha and Nicholas (his treasured niece and nephew). John revered many more giant-hearted extended family members, valued friends and his loyal dog: Montana.

John grew up in Bay Ridge, graduated from Xaverian High School and was very proud of being a part of their esteemed alumni which well-prepared him to earn his Bachelor’s at Syracuse University. Before God interrupted his studies, he was working towards achieving an MBA. John has a true affinity for football, basketball, video games, movies and talking politics with a passion and intellect that would run circles around you.

John’s frequent choice of listening and singing timeless music depicts him as the proverbial old soul. “We are only dancing on this earth for a short while... Will you carry the words of love with you, will you ride the great white bird with you into heaven, and though you want to last forever you know you never will and the goodbye makes the journey harder still.” John’s legacy and greatest achievement is his love, sense of humor, and magnanimous personality that made being in his company a gift. A precious gift. “Until we meet again (and we will), May God hold you in the palm of His hand). John’s love lives forever! "We are only dancing on this earth for a short while..." Thanks for the dance John.
