It is with great sadness that we announce Joel Keeler passed away peacefully at home on January 29, 2025 at the age of 73. Born on September 16, 1951 to Gertrude and James Keeler, Joel was the youngest son of 8 siblings. In 1973, Joel met Kathleen Regan and in 1981 they got married. During their 44 years together, they had two children, William and Meaghan. Joel worked for the New York City Transit for 34 years before retiring in 2004. Throughout his retirement, Joel enjoyed spending time with his family, watching his favorite sport teams and spoiling the family dog, Dolly.

Joel was predeceased by his mother and father; his sister, Jacqueline and his brothers, Jeffrey and Joseph. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; his son, William and his wife Margaret; his daughter, Meaghan and her husband, Jason as well as his sisters Joann and Jenifer and brothers John and James.
