Jessica Paiz-Cabrera was born on August 16th, 1988 to Maria Esther Paiz-Rivera. She was an amazing wife, a loving sister, a best friend to many, and a dedicated teacher. Her love of life, sense of humor, passion for teaching, and willingness to always help others touched the hearts of all that knew her.

Jessica completed her Bachelor's degree at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and proceeded to acquire her Masters degree for Special Education at Hunter College. She was a Teacher at P.S. 24 in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Her absolute joy was in her School, her students, spending time with friends and family, and her husband.

Jessica loved reading books, traveling on long adventures, cooking and baking, and playing with her pet cat Manfred. She was also an avid gamer and would often play video games with her husband Ron for hours on end. Her lively personality and contagious smile brought a brightness and warmth wherever she went. She also placed a lot of emphasis on her spirituality, faith, and personal relationship with God.

Jessica passed away on October 13th, 2021 surrounded by her loved ones. She is survived by her husband Ronald Cabrera, her sisters Magdalena Diaz and Lissette Paiz, her brothers William Diaz and Jose Diaz, and sister-in-law Anna Panicker-Diaz. Even though she is no longer with us, she lives on in the hearts of all those who she touched.
