Jeanette Duggan (nee Nicholson) was called home to God on Easter Sunday. For a decade she fought a valiant battle and was an example of strength and grace to everyone she met. Her spirit was unbreakable and she never stopped fighting, always more worried about those around her than herself.

A lifelong Brooklynite, Jeanette was born on February 28, 1943 in Bay Ridge to John and Elizabeth (Brander) Nicholson and was the sister of the late John Nicholson.

Jeanette was the beloved wife of Francis for almost 56 years and the proud mother of Patricia McEvoy (Charles) and Thomas (Danielle). Jeanette's pride and joy were her four grandchildren: Ryan Charles, Brigid Elizabeth, Francis John, and Joseph Patrick. Her greatest happiness came from sharing their achievements with everyone she met.

Jeanette loved her dear friends, many of whom she knew for decades. Those in Jeanette's life quickly became her family and she cultivated lifelong relationships that most people could only hope to have. Her door was always open, her table always had an extra setting, and she was proud to live a life built on the values of faith, loyalty, and integrity.

Jeanette was a beloved wife, daughter, mother, aunt, cousin, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
