Janet Marie Toohill passed away on July 29, 2019 at the age of 65. She was born in Brooklyn, NY to Dorothy and Thomas Toohill. She was the youngest of their four children and the only girl. She is preceded in death by both her parents and brother Stephen. Janet was a graduate of Our Lady of Perpetual Help High School and went on to earn her BS degree in Education from Brooklyn College. She worked for 40 years  as a Benefit Specialist for The Uniformed Fire Officers Association of New York.

Janet is survived by her brothers Thomas (the late Susan) and Kevin (Marilyn). She was a loving aunt to Kevin (Jamie), Erin, Meghan, Thomas Joseph, Daniel (Jessica), Scott, Sean (Meghan), and the late Brian Toohill. She was a cherished great aunt to Conor, Gavin, Owen, Grayson, and Lila.  Janet will be especially missed by her good friend and co-worker Ellen Boyle with whom she shared many good times.

Janet's brothers will always remember their younger sister for her sharp sense of humor, quick wit, hearty laugh and big smile. They know she is at peace with their parents and brother Stevie. Janet will be missed by so many people whose lives she touched and who supported her.

Friends are invited to share their memories of Janet with her family during visitation at Clavin Funeral  Home, 7722 Fourth Ave., Brooklyn, NY 11209 on Sunday, August 4, 2019 from 2 PM - 7 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 5, 2019 at St. Anselm R.C. Church, 356 82nd St., Brooklyn at 9:45 am followed by a service at the Chapel at Green-Wood Cemetery.
