Jamie William Vuignier was born November 6, 1967 at Lennox Hill Hospital in Manhattan.  He grew up in the Brooklyn neighborhoods of Carroll Gardens, Boerum Hill and Park Slope, and graduated from The High School of Art and Design in Manhattan.  Jamie went on to study Jazz Guitar at Berklee College of Music in Boston, and worked his way to a degree in History and Music from Hunter College while Assistant Manager of Back To the Land in Park Slope.   Later he studied at Parson's in the Jazz Program and at The Art Student's League.  Jamie was a lifelong student of music, always teaching himself new instruments (most recently piano, and clarinet).  He loved singing in the Union Church Choir.  Jamie was a talented artist and never lost his passion for drawing and painting.  He was currently managing the Kobal Collection at Art Resource in Manhattan.

After 24 years together, he is survived by his wife, Tana Cadena-Vuignier.  Jamie was a loving and caring father to his two daughters, Madeline (11) and Maisy (8).  He is also survived by his parents, Maurice and Katherine Vuignier, and his sister Samantha Vuignier.
