 Loving husband of 59 years to the late Dolores Sledge. Devoted father to Stephanie Sledge (Junious Matthews) & Ann Marie Doherty. Proud grandfather to Annie Albright (John), Lauren Vitello (Eric Betz) and Emma Doherty. Loving great grandfather Maeve Anne Albright. Caring uncle to many nieces and nephews. James courageously served his county in the United States Army during the Korean War. He later joined the New York Police Department and bravely served New York City for 25 years.
