Helen Joan Tarpey passed peacefully on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at The Norwegian Christian Home.  Helen was born and lived in Brooklyn for her entire life and was very devoted to her faith.  She was very proud of her work as a legal secretary for the federal court system.  After retiring from her career, she worked for the Johnson Law Office.

Helen loved receiving flowers and letters from her nephew Andrew.  She was an avid reader and loved to share a great book.  Helen was a theatre buff, attending many Broadway shows with her sister-in-law Mary, and her best friend Lydia Gordon.  Helen's favorite holiday was Christmas.  She enjoyed sitting around the Christmas Tree watching family celebrate and having her favorite nephew-in-law Steve fix her a holiday martini.

Helen is survived by her sister Patricia Larkin and her brother Kevin Tarpey.  Helen was also a devoted sister to the late Vincent, John, Robert, Donald, Gerard, Maureen and Raymond.  She is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
