IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Helen
Donohue
July 13, 1929 – August 15, 2024
Helen Donohue passed peacefully, surrounded by love, at her home in Bay Ridge on August 15, 2024, shortly after her 95th birthday. Predeceased by her parents Robert and Elizabeth Thomas; son Robert Thomas Crosby; husband Robert (Bob) Crosby; siblings Jack Milton, Dottie Olson, Mary Sullivan Giles; and second husband Jack Donohue. Survived by daughters Mary Beth (Jack) Carroll, Helen (John) Connolly, and Jacqueline (Mark) Cusac; grandchildren John (Stephanie) Carroll, Katie (Ryan) Reed, Robert (Virginia) Carroll, Kristen (Paul) Kavanaugh, Thomas Carroll, Brianna Helen Ullman, Theo Ullman; great grandchildren Paul, John, and Connor Kavanaugh, Ryan, Jackson, Emerson Reed, Edward (Teddy) Carroll, and John Paul Carroll; and an extended family of nieces and nephews.
Helen was not only the heart and soul of her family: her kindness and generosity had a meaningful impact on all whom she welcomed into her life. She was a lifelong Brooklynite who called Bay Ridge home for the past 85 years. Helen was an active member of her community and was especially devoted to her church, Our Lady of Angels. Her spirit lifted those around her, and she was energized by company of any kind. Helen loved people, and she was beloved by them in turn.
