ROINESTAD, Gustav "Goody" on July 24, 2016. Beloved husband of Alice (nee Hansen). Loving father of Mildred Reistad (Egil), Stanley (Torunn), and Steven (Joan). Proud grandfather of Karoline Murphy (James), Kurtis (Patricia), Ronny Reistad (Marie), Lisa, Sonja, Karina, and Joy. Great grandfather of Kirsten, Soren, Logan, Gunnar, R.J., and Valentina. Dear brother of Magnar Roynestad, Selmar Roynestad, Martha Ideland, and the late Solveige Johanssen, Gladys Sandal, Alfhild Hansen, and Willy Roynestad. Cherished friend of Cesar Incle.

As a true testament to the American dream, Gustav worked as a carpenter and started a construction company, building homes across the New York tri-state area.  Gustav continued to work for his family well into his 80s, continuing to assist his children and grandchildren with various home renovations.  He served his country in the National Guard and served his family in every capacity possible.  Gustav was also a life-long member of the Lutheran Brethren Church in New York and Pennsylvania.
