Gertrude Mary Sherland (Olsen) Age:87 of Brooklyn,NY passed away Wednesday March 13, 2024.  Gertrude was an active member of Zion Church and also worked at the Norwegian Christian Home for 40 years. Gertrude was a wonderful wife, terrific aunt, and a friend to many in the Brooklyn Community.  Gertrude was born on January 29, 1937 in Brooklyn, NY.  She is preceded in death by her parents Harold and Helen Olsen, and nephews Kjell Haugland and Osbjorn  Kydland. She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years Sverre Sherland; nieces Bjorg Tonnessen, Ase Flikka, Arlene Haugland, Sandra Lee; nephews Sigmond Flikka, Stanley Lee and Ronnie Haugland, and brother-in-law Kjell Louis Haugland and his wife Donna.
