George Diacoumakos, DDS was born in Brooklyn on April 29, 1956 to Eugenia and Peter Diakoumakos, who immigrated to the U.S. from Greece 5 years earlier. He was a proud graduate of Stuyvesant High School, New York University, and New York University College of Dentistry.

As a lover of (very loud) music, politics, and, of course, dentistry, you could always count on him to blast MTV in his operatory, to engage you in a heated debate, and to say, "I love dentistry," at least once a week. Both his passion and his laughter were infectious.

On the morning of Sept. 24, 2022, George passed away in Brooklyn. George loved and was loved by his family and everyone at Fifth Avenue Dental and at Family Health Dental.

He is survived by his sister Denise Kotsikonas and her husband George Kotsikonas; his niece Jennifer Georgiadis and her husband Thanasi Georgiadis; his niece Stephanie Kotsikonas; and his grand nephew Constantine Georgiadis.
