Gail Higgins (Bastiansen) was born and raised in Brooklyn in 1946. She graduated from Bay Ridge High School. She proudly worked at the Empire State Building for 18 years. She married Robert Tierney (deceased) and was beloved mother of three children, Dawn Gueits (nee Tierney), Jill Doyle (nee Tierney) and Keith Tierney. She married her second husband, Damon Higgins (deceased) for 21? years until his death.

In addition to her children, she is survived by her seven grandchildren, Anthony, Jennifer, Nicole, Leanne, Leigha, Connor and Jason and one great grandson Jack Daniel. She is predeceased by her mother, Bernadette Bastiansen, father, Berger Bastiansen, sister, Jean Larsen (nee Bastiansen) and brother, Bruce Bastiansen,

Gail was a member of the Eastern Star at a young age as well as President the V.F.W. Gail loved life and enjoyed a good Forty-Niners game and her Joe Montana. She was also on a dart league with friends. Gail loved to host parties, travel, dance and cooked every holiday.
