On Tuesday, May 17, 2022, Frederick Lawrence O'Loughlin, beloved Uncle and friend, passed away at the age of 77. Freddy was born on August 10, 1944, in Brooklyn, New York to Joseph Lawrence O'Loughlin and Florence D'Anjou O'Loughlin. Freddy was educated at an all-boys Catholic School and remained a devout Catholic his entire life. A Vietnam Veteran, Freddy came home from his service there with struggles to work through. With the help of his friends at AA, he was able to overcome his trials and celebrate the past 30 plus years of sobriety.

Freddy was lively, intelligent and could captivate a crowd with his hilarious stories and antics. He loved music, old movies, and Broadway plays, recalling and relaying in detail storylines of all his favorites. He was a walking treasure of great quotes and lines, delivered with perfect dramatic flair, as he was a bit of an actor himself. He could tap dance and sing beautifully, always glad to sing a few verses of Danny Boy on request. He will forever be remembered and loved for the happiness, fun and laughter that he carried with him wherever he went. His Irish eyes will forever be smiling.

Freddy was preceded in death by his father, Larry, his mother, Florence, and his sister, Patricia O'Loughlin Tarulli, who left this Earth just 3 months ago. Freddy had quite the welcoming at the Pearly Gates! Freddy is survived by 3 nieces, Joanne Tarulli Stegall (Mark), Janet Tarulli, and Donna Tarulli Hrycenko (Mark), a nephew Joseph Tarulli (Mindi), 3 grandnieces, 6 grandnephews, a great-niece and a great-nephew. The family would like to acknowledge and thank Freddy's dear friend of over 30 years, Teresa O' Cain, who has been such a help and comfort.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 8am at Clavin Funeral Home in Brooklyn, with a military burial at 11 am at Calverton National Cemetery. Flowers may be sent to the funeral home.
