Florence was born July 11, 1929, to Charles Beck Jr. and Alice M. Beck (née Nelson). A proud fourth generation Brooklynite, she worked for the New York Telephone Company and then had a full career at Morgan Guarantee Trust Company.

In retirement, she taught CCD classes a St. Ephrem's grammar school. She was the beloved wife of the late John J. McLoughlin, loving mother of son Timothy and daughter-in-law Renette, dear sister of Bettie Campbell, Alice Ryan, the late Laura Jane Baranowski, and Charles Beck III, and the cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews.
