Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother Ethel Kane, who departed this life peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Ethel was born and raised in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn where she was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Angels Parish. Ethel is predeceased by her wonderful and one-of-a-kind husband Joseph. They shared a beautiful marriage lasting 57 years. They were blessed with six Children, thirteen Grandchildren and five Great-grandchildren. Ethel dedicated her life to raising her family, but her true passion was her role as grandmother (better known as nanny). With her endless patience and love, she was always there to care for them.

She was known for her delicious baking, and we could all count on our favorite cake for any occasion. Ethel loved to spend her summers in Maine at Higgins Beach with Joe's family. She also enjoyed cruising and traveling with her husband, family and friends.

She is survived by her sister and best friend Pat, who was a loyal and faithful sibling.

Ethel was a remarkable mom who always said she was truly blessed to have such a close and wonderful family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
