Elise Christine Solversen walked with God from her youth. Elise was an acolyte in her church.

Elise, the only child of William Solversen and Lillian Thorsen Solversen, became a nurse with assignments at Bellevue, Downstate and the V.A. until starting work as an occupational nurse at NY State Insurance Fund. Elise was our nurse until retirement in November 2008. She took care of every employee wherever and however she could use medical knowledge and nursing experience. Elise, a neighborhood nurse, helped her neighbors with medical knowledge and experience.

Elise went back to her church and was the church greeter, greeting friends, neighbors and strangers to welcome them to the service. She was in the women's group in the church and went to those Friday night meets.

She leaves behind cherished memories with her best friends Jackie, Sheila, and Sue; her brother Michael Sofia and his wife Barbara; her cousin Jeannette Postorino; Pastor Paul Knudsen and the congregation of Bethlehem Lutheran Church; and a community of neighbors who were like family.
