Elisa Losada (nee Villamor) died peacefully at her home in Brooklyn, NY at the age of 90.
Elisa is survived by her children, Cary Chrisomalis and her husband, Stephen; Lisa Vazquez and her husband Walter; and her daughter-in-law, Daria Losada. She is preceded in death by her parents, Evaristo and Maria Villamor; her husband, Roberto Losada; son, Robert "Bobby" Losada; and her brothers, Jesus Novoa and Antonio "Nico" Villamor.
Elisa was born on April 1, 1930 in Havana, Cuba. She was married in Cuba on November 24, 1956 and moved to the United States in 1957.
She loved her family above all else. She was a loving and devoted mother to her three children and their spouses and a loving and devoted grandmother to 12 grandkids: Robert Losada and his wife Anne; Vincent Losada, Michael Losada, Christina Losada, Laura Losada, Stephanie Canzani and her husband Christopher; Sophie Culver and her husband, Taylor; Stephen Chrisomalis, Andrew Chrisomalis, Robert Chrisomalis, Eric Vazquez, and Jeff Vazquez.
And, she was a wonderful great-grandmother to Alexandra and Thomas Canzani, Salvettore and Nicolette Losada, and Taylor and Stephen Culver.
Elisa loved gardening, feeding the birds, her dogs, Roki and Roki Dos, and all of her neighbors and friends. She lived in a household full of people dropping by to say hello. She was a great cook who made the best French fries and Cuban food. She would wake us up at the crack of dawn on Christmas Eve morning to start roasting the pork "slowly".
She was blessed with many wonderful people around her when she got old who helped to take care of her, Andrea, Azra, and Jose.
Elisa was at every graduation, wedding, birthday party, she was so proud and happy to be a part of it all. She loved going on vacation and to amusement parks with her grandchildren and to all of their games. She made us her call her everyday even just to check in and was always there to help in any way she could. She lived a beautiful life and will be missed very much.
