Eleanor Gallagher was born and raised in Manhattan, along with her two sisters. The family later moved to Brooklyn.
A graduate of Baruch College, Eleanor was associated with AT&T for 46 years in human resources and management positions. During the disastrous Johnstown Flood of 1977 she served as an onsite aide as part of an AT&T volunteer group.

Upon retirement, Eleanor enjoyed traveling and remained an active member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
Until her passing at age 82, she was a volunteer worker for St. Patrick's Church of Brooklyn.

Eleanor's friends and colleagues remember her as a sympathetic and helpful supporter of their interests and concerns. She will be sorely missed.
