On Thursday, March 28, 2019, Elaine Williams Ulshafer passed away peacefully at the age of 87. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Elaine came into this world on December 16th, 1931.  She grew up in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, where she resided for over eighty years.  Elaine was predeceased by her first husband Robert Williams, and was the loving mother of Linda Krakower (nee Williams). She later married Henry Ulshafer and became the beloved stepmother of Edward Ulshafer.  She was a devoted grandmother to her two grandchildren, Jeanne Quinto and Robert Krakower, and her step-grandchildren, Courtney Ulshafer, Brittany Ulshafer, Kyle Casella and Anthony Joseph Casella (AJ). Her two great grandchildren, Julia and Michael Quinto, were the light of her life.

Elaine graduated Hunter College in 1952 and spent her career as the import/export manager for Goldberger Doll Manufacturer until her retirement.

An avid traveler, reader and skilled artist, Elaine spent her days taking in all the world had to offer.

Her wit, tenacity and independent spirit will surely be missed by all who knew her.
