Edward Martin Lynch of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, died on February 21, 2022, with his family by his side after battling cancer.

Edward is pre-deceased by his two brothers Dennis and John and his sister Mary Ann (Coyle) and his former wife Nancy.  He is also preceded in death by his daughter Elizabeth and his son Thomas.

He is survived by his children - Edward, Kelley, Jimmy, Mary Ann (Brown) and Catherine (Moran) – and grandchildren - Alan, Kelley Ann, Jennifer, Charlie, Edward, Molly, Elizabeth, Thomas and Jack - and his great grandson Nolan Thomas.

Edward proudly served his country as a United States Merchant Marine and the city of New York as a Police Detective.  As a young man he was member of the Local-40 Ironworkers Union and proudly boasted about working on the Verrazano Bridge. Later in life, he became an entrepreneur and opened many bars and clubs in Bay Ridge in the late 1970's and 80's. The Gridiron being one and the popular Upstairs Lounge disco being another.

He cherished his family and loved spending time with his friends and built a life surrounded by them.
