IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Edward Hermann
Ketelsen
March 24, 2023
Edward Hermann Ketelsen passed away on March 24, 2023. He was born at St Vincent's Hospital in NYC, son of Angela and Hermann Ketelsen. He lived in East Harlem until he was 7 years old and then moved to Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, where he would eventually meet the love of his life, Jeannette. He joined the Navy after graduating high school and embarked on the most loved adventure of his life, traveling all over the world. During his service he crossed the equator and arctic circle where he became a Shellback and a Blue Nose. He was an electrician second class aboard the USS Randolph and the USS Wisconsin. When he returned, he married his childhood sweetheart, Jeannette (nee Cuomo). They had four children Catherine Ketelsen, Janet Stover (Mark), Evelyn Ketelsen, and the late Donna Ketelsen. Ed worked many positions with the telephone company, some of which included switches, repair and eventually foreman. He was the proud grandfather of Eric, Evan, Kaleb, Kevin, and Tristan. Also survived by his brothers, Roy Ketelsen (Karen) and John Ketelsen, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
